Trish leads the company as CEO. Previously she was Clever’s VP of Customer Success and Sales. Trish came to Clever with a wealth of executive leadership experience at companies such as LinkedIn, where she scaled a global customer success organization, and at DemandBase, where she was Chief Customer Officer. As a North Carolina Teaching Fellows Scholar, she started her career as a middle school teacher in Wake County Public Schools. Trish holds BS degrees in Business and Education as well as an MBA from Meredith College. After living in the Bay Area for 20 years, Trish now resides in Chapel Hill, NC.
Amy leads the finance and legal team at Clever. She has been a finance executive in the States and Internationally across aviation and consumer building products industries. Prior to being the Group Financial Controller of Qantas Airways, Amy was a senior manager at Ernst & Young’s assurance practice in the San Francisco and Sydney offices. She holds a BA from the University of California Los Angeles. Amy is a native San Franciscan and lives in the “City” with her husband and two children. She is an advocate for improving education with involvement on the PTA board and the San Francisco Unified School District’s Parent Advisory Council.
Anne leads the marketing and sales teams at Clever. She has held marketing leadership positions at Indeed and served as VP Marketing at Jobvite, a SaaS recruiting platform. She has an MBA from The Wharton School and a BA from Stanford University. She won the summer reading contest after first grade and her prize dictionary still holds a place of honor on her bookshelf.
Dan is Clever’s Chief Product Officer. As a teacher and tech director, he saw first-hand how data obstacles were quickly becoming the biggest barriers to innovation in education. Before co-founding Clever, Dan joined Teach for America and taught science at STRIVE Preparatory Schools in Denver before becoming their director of data and technology. He has a BA degree in Biology and Computer Science from Harvard. In his free time, Dan enjoys rock climbing and drinking craft beer (in that order).
Eric leads the engineering team at Clever. He comes with 16 years of experience leading engineering organizations at Apple most recently iCloud, and served as Senior Director of Online Operations for Symantec, a cyber security company. Eric has a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of California San Diego. He’s also a private pilot.
Jamie leads the Product & Design teams at Clever. She has held product & design leadership positions at Auction.com, Yahoo, and eBay. She has a BA from New College of Florida and a Masters in Information Management from UC Berkeley, where she teaches Product Design. She and her family live in San Francisco, near a small herd of bison.
Rafael is CTO at Clever. Prior to co-founding Clever, Rafael worked at Jump Trading, where he specialized in machine learning and working with large volumes of data. He has a BA degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Harvard. Rafael enjoys biking and trying out new recipes with his wife and two cats. His homemade Greek yogurt is the stuff of legends.
As a board member and strategic advisor, Tyler helps oversee Clever’s long term strategic vision. Previously Tyler served for ten years as Clever’s CEO where, under his leadership, Clever grew to serve more than half of all U.S. K-12 students. In recognition of Clever’s impact on education, Tyler was named to Forbes’ “30 Under 30” alongside Dan and Rafael. Prior to co-founding Clever, Tyler was Vice President of Sales at PaperG. He has a MA degree in Statistics and a BA in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University.
